Celery Seed Apium graveolens

The word celery comes form the Greek 'selinon' - literally meaning parsley.

The seeds of the plant are actually very small fruit - and were referenced by Celsus - a Roman in AD 30 as a means to help deal with pain.

Celery seeds today are revered not just for their potency and their pungency but for their ability to help the body regulate itself.
